The educational facility, in partnership with St. Louis University, Washington University, Missouri Botanical Garden, and others, will offer on-site classes and tours for area schools and for the public, outreach programs with local elementary schools, and research opportunities for universities. Classes on gardening, urban farming, aquaponics, and vermiculture will be offered. Tours will focus on the growing, processing, and distribution of local food and on the green features of the development. FarmWorks will expand Gateway Greening’s educational programs with local elementary schools, which focus on providing students with hands-on education about the origins of their food.
